Research and history are important parts of my process. This can be seen in this pieces’ focus on the brutal history of ice picks. Experimental lobotomies were once done by sticking an ice pick through the person's eye. This of course, often failed leading to the loss of many lives.

In the 40’s, an assassin named Aleber Anastasia used an ice pick to kill his targets with the reasoning that it would be the worst, slowest, most painful way to die. The eyeballs are meant to symbolize the many lives taken by a common household object.
